Physical Therapy

Welcome to Our Physical Therapy Center

Therapists at Cascade Physical Therapy and Rehab work in collaboration with our physicians in a team approach to patient care. We share the same building which makes us physically close and therefore facilitates communication. More importantly however, we share the same goals for our patients. These goals are centered around the restoration of function. In other words, getting you back to doing what you like to do.

At Cascade our therapists use the latest techniques and research knowledge to allow a speedy return to work or play. Shortening the recovery time after an injury or surgery is always important to our patients and therefore it is important to our therapists. Recovery time alone however is not the top priority. Our therapists view the quality of our patient's recovery as crucial to his or her long term success.

To truly make a full recovery from an injury or surgery it is extremely important to build a strong base of strength and flexibility during rehab. It is just as important to identify the root cause of the problem. If the reason behind the pain is not addressed (weakness, tightness, poor posture, poor body mechanics, etc) then the problem will not go away or it may go away temporarily then come back again at a later time.

It is our belief that a therapist needs to spend quality one-on-one time with a patient to achieve successful short and long term outcomes.

This quality time typically consists of guided flexibility, strengthening and movement re-education. While we do use modalities on occasion such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation these are not the focus of our treatments. The focus of our time remains on things that will make a difference in the long run not just the here and now.

At Cascade our therapists teach patients the proper and safe way to build this underlying strength and flexibility. This allows our patients to go out into the real world and not only perform their chosen activity but to perform it with a quality of movement that prevents future injury.

If your physician refers you to physical or occupational therapy our courteous and professional staff will assist you in scheduling an evaluation with one of our therapists. Please call 253-939-0211 or visit us on the North East side of the building.
