Diagnostic Imaging Center

Cascade Orthopaedics offers multiple imaging services with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Digital X-Ray and Bone Density Scans at the Auburn clinic and our satellite clinics.

MRI

Our state-of-the-art full field MRI allows fast and accurate imaging while providing a more comfortable experience in the large short bore table than in older MRI's with small tunnels.

This is a safe, comfortable, and totally painless way for your physician to view the soft tissues and structures inside your joints or spine and provide information that can improve your diagnosis.

Digital X-RAY

Cascade Orthopaedics is committed to providing patients with the highest level of comprehensive musculoskeletal care using state of the art medical technology. Cascade Orthopaedics has implemented the latest orthopaedic PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) throughout its facilities. Innovations in digital imaging enable our physicians to pass numerous benefits on to their patients. All of our clinics offer the latest in digital X-Ray facilities.

  • Higher resolution images enable physicians to give more accurate diagnoses
  • Instant image availability translates to less time spent waiting for X-rays, allowing physicians to spend more time with patients in the examination room
  • Because digital images can be manipulated after processing, physicians require less retakes and can minimize the amount of radiation to which patients are exposed
  • Digital pre-operative planning tools enable physicians to accurately plan surgical procedures and analyze post-operative images
  • Unlimited digital copies of images can be made without degradation in quality and saved onto portable media such as CD, DVD, or USB drive

Bone Density Scan

A Bone Density Scan, also known as a Dexa Scan, tests for osteopenia or osteoporosis. This test can also help determine your risk for sustaining a fracture. The study takes just 10 minutes. A Bone Density Scan is strongly recommended if you:

  • Are a female over 65 or are post-menopausal and not taking estrogen
  • Have experienced a fracture with only mild trauma
  • Have had X-ray evidence of a vertebral fracture or other signs of osteoporosis
  • Use medications associated with bone loss
  • Have hyperthyroidism or hyperparathyroidism
