Dr. Chen
Alan Chen, MD, MS is our newest addition to Cascade Orthopaedics, and joins Terry Smith, MD in our spine division. He is a double Board Certified physician in Pain Management, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1996 at Tufts University, before receiving his Masters Degree in Physiology, in 1998, at the Chicago Medical School. There, he went on to complete his medical doctorate in 2002. Subsequently, he proceeded with residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York Medical College, St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Manhattan, where he finished as Chief Resident. He further specialized with fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at UCLA. In addition, he is an accredited Medical Acupuncturist and completed this training also at UCLA. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys fishing, camping, golf, painting, and spending time with his wife, and two sons.
